Please make copies of all requests you give to management.
The Department of Health made a site visit to SMGH in June and cited the hospital for a number of Nursing Service violations. SMGH has submitted a Plan of Correction to remedy these citations. REMEMBER: YOU ARE OBLIGATED TO REPORT UNSAFE CONDITIONS! The Professional Nursing Practice Committee has launched per (Article 5 of your Contract). Nine (9) RNs are needed for unit representation. Contact a Local Officer if you would like to participate. Labor Management Meetings continue. Issues brought forth at the October Membership Meeting will be addressed at the November Labor Management Meeting.
THE SHADOW PROGRAM is to be revised to due concerns JNESO raised regarding a “Proposed Checklist” being interpreted as “Competency”. The administration is currently revising the program.
