PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE:
NPH: PEOSH COMPLAINT FILED WITH THE NJ DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH & REPRESENTATION REGARDING THE COVID VACCINATION MANDATE
JNESO has filed a complaint with the NJ Department of Health regarding the lack of fit testing of masks you receive from management. The regulation states that you must yearly be fit tested, and when you receive a mask that is different from the structure of the mask you previously had you must also be fit tested.
The City of Newark has not done this for our JNESO members. An investigation will be conducted by an Occupational Health Consultant for the NJ PEOSH.
JUDGE CONFIRMS ARBITRATOR’S AWARD, SIDES WITH JNESO MEMBERS REGARDING BACK-PAY OWED!
In early 2020, JNESO won an arbitration awarding members who did not receive their retro back-pay owed. The City of Newark fought this award. At the end of 2020, a judge confirmed the Arbitrator’s decision and awarded all members back-pay owed.
See below salary increase awarded in the arbitration, confirmed by the judge’s decision.
