DO NOT GO INTO A MEETING WITH MANAGEMENT WITHOUT UNION REPRESENTATION!
Be sure to bring a Union representative if you feel you are called into a meeting that could be disciplinary.
STAFFING: not only the lack of staffing but also the canceling of OT too early, causing a need for members to cover short-staffed shifts. EMPLOYEE RETENTION: new hires are not staying and members are retiring. Your Local Officers continue to discuss with management the survey that you were asked you to complete that addresses employee retention. These and other concerns will be addressed at the next Labor Management Meeting. PENSION: do you know you are a participant in the IUOE Central Pension Fund? This is a benefit negotiated by your team at negotiations paid for by your employer. Pension statements are mailed out yearly if you haven’t received one it’s possible your correct address needs to be updated. Contact the JNESO office (800) 292-0542 to be sure the Union has your correct address.
TUITION REIMBURSEMENT: see Article 22, Section 4 of your contract (page 48).
